Using the MINDA app, you can record both Send & Receive movements if you're opted in for LIC to be your NAIT information provider. When recording a Send or Receive movement, you'll need to know:

  • Date the animal(s) were moved

  • Animal ID

  • To/from NAIT Location

How do I record a NAIT Movement Event?

Select NAIT movement from the dashboard and then select Record movement. Next go through the steps on screen.

Step 1. Select date

Select the date the animal(s) were moved.

Step 2. Select the movement type

Choose the movement type.

Step. 3 Select the From & To NAIT Location

Select the from/to NAIT Location. The from location is the first location you select and is where the animals are moving from. The to/destination location is where the animals are being moved to. I.e. if you're moving animals from your farm to grazing, you will need to set:

  • From: Your NAIT Location

  • To/destination: Grazing NAIT Location

Step 4. Choose your animal(s)

Add the animals you're recording a NAIT Movement Event for. If the animals are in a specific Group, you can tap Add from group otherwise, you can search for the animal if you know their ID.

Tip: If you have a wand connected to your MINDA app, you can scan the animals EID to add them.

Step 5. Review and finish

Review the details you've entered. If you need to edit anything, tap on any of the columns or go back by tapping on the top left otherwise tap Finish or Delete this movement to delete the Event.

Note: If you've opted in for LIC to be your NAIT information provider, you'll see a message letting you know that NAIT will be updated.

The Event should now show in the Holding Pen where you can approve it.

Important: A NAIT Movement Event will NOT move animal records. It will only update the animals location in NAIT.
