Using the MINDA app, you can record both DIY and natural mating's for your animals. When recording mating's, you'll need to know:
Date the mating occurred
Product type or Bull details
Bull code
Batch number
Animal ID
How do I record a DIY Mating Event?
Select Mating from the home screen and then select Record DIY mating. Next go through the steps on screen.
Step 1. Choose your product type
Referencing your Mating Plan, go through and select the product type used. If you're using a non LIC product, make sure to select Non-LIC Product under the other section.
Important: If using Frozen Premier Sire or SGL, make sure to record this as Premier Sires.
Step 2. Enter Bull Code
Add the bull code.
Note: Any previously used bull codes will be saved so you can use them again.
Step 3. Enter Batch number
Add the batch number. If the product type is Alpha Nominated, adding the bull code is optional.
Step 4. Choose your animal(s)
Add the animals that were DIY mated. If you added animals in the Manage animals to mate list, those animals will show first and you can select them.
If not, you will be able to add animals manually. If the animals are in a specific Group, you can tap Add from group otherwise, you can search for the animal if you know their ID.
Step 5. Review and finish
Review the details you've entered. If you need to edit anything, tap on any of the columns or go back by tapping on the top left otherwise tap Finish or Delete this mating to delete the Event.
Note: The date of the Event will automatically be todays date i.e. the date you're recording the Event. If you need to update this, make sure to do this from the summary screen.
The Event should now show in the Holding Pen where you can approve it.
How do I record a Natural Mating Event?
Select Mating from the home screen and then select Record natural mating. Next go through the steps on screen.
Step 1. Select the bull
If you've enabled the setting Record bull for natural matings, you'll have the option to first select a bull. If you don't want to select a bull, tap Skip.
Step 2. Choose your animal(s)
Add the animals that were naturally mated. If the animals are in a specific Group, you can tap Add from group otherwise, you can search for the animal if you know their ID.
Step 3. Review and finish
Review the details you've entered. If you need to edit anything, tap on any of the columns or go back by tapping on the top left otherwise tap Finish or Delete this mating to delete the Event.

What is the Manage animals to mate list?
If you notice any animals that you think might be ready for mating, you can create a list of them using Manage animals to mate. This list can then be used when recording a DIY Mating Event.
How do I create a Manage animals to mate list?
Select Mating from the home screen and then select Manage animals to mate. Next, search for the animals you want to add and tap Finish.
How do I record a mating using the Manage animals to mate list?
The animals in your Manage animals to mate list will show when recording a DIY Mating Event. Once you've selected your product type and bull code, the animals from your Manage animals to mate list will show and you can select them from here.
How do I delete animals from the Manage animal to mate list?
Using the trash can icon, you can remove a single animal at a time. If however you want to clear the entire list, tap Clear list.
