  • DIY mating date

  • Product type

  • Bull code

  • Batch number

  • Animal ID

How do I record a DIY Mating Event?

Select Event Recorder from the dashboard and then select DIY Mating from the list of available Events. Next go through the steps on screen.

Step 1. Select date

Select the DIY mating date. If the date was earlier, click Earlier then use the calendar to select the right date.

Step 2. Choose your product type

Referencing your Mating Plan, go through and select the product type used. If you're using a non LIC product, make sure to select Non-LIC Product under the other section.

Important: If using Frozen Premier Sire or SGL, make sure to record this as Premier Sires.

Step 3. Enter Bull Code

Add the bull code.

Step 4. Enter Batch number

Add the batch number. If the product type is Alpha Nominated, adding the batch number is optional.

Note: The batch number can not be longer than 6 digits.

Step 5. Choose your animal(s)

Select the animals that were DIY mated. If the animals are in a specific Group, you can change the Group to show only those animals otherwise, you can search for the animal if you know their ID.

Once you've selected the animals, they'll be moved to the right hand side as shown above. If you need to remove any animals, use the x.

Step 6. Review and finish

Review the details you've entered. If you need to edit anything, click Change or use the Back button otherwise click Finish.

The Event should now show in the Holding Pen where you can approve it.
