Using the MINDA app, you can assign a tag number to animals when an animal has either lost their original tag or has never had one. When assigning a tag, you'll need to know:
Date the tag was given
Animal ID
New tag number
How do I record a Tag Animals Event?
Select Tag animal from the home screen and then select Record tag. Next go through the steps on screen.
Step 1. Select date
Select the date the tag was given to the animal.
Step 2. Choose your animal
Add the animal that was given a new tag.
Tip: If you have a wand connected to your MINDA app, you can scan the animals EID to add it.
Step 3. Match animal with tag numbers
Select the new tag number you've given the animal. You can do this by:
Typing the new tag number
Going through the list of available tag numbers
Adjusting the tag range shown using the Change Tag Range button
Step 3. Review and finish
Review the details you've entered. There's a few extra things you can do on this screen including:
Delete the tagging
Add another tagging
Similar to other Events, if you need to edit anything, tap on any of the columns or go back by tapping on the top left otherwise tap Finish.
The Event should now show in the Holding Pen where you can approve it.
