Open Country Dairy’s Farm Environment Plan (FEP) is a tailored farm plan that provides farmers with clear insights into their annual emissions, nutrient budget, and overall farm efficiency. As part of Open Country’s term of supply, suppliers must provide their animals numbers by monthly breakdown.
How does the integration work?
Once enabled, the integration streamlines the FEP process by sending animal information from MINDA to pre-populate sections of the FEP. This includes:
Herd breakdown/stock classes (i.e. R1s, R2s, MA cows, Breeding bulls etc)
Stock inventory (movements i.e. births, deaths etc)
NAIT location of animals
Calf management numbers
Breed information (predominant breed)
Average BW
Is there anything I need to do in MINDA?
Before setting up the MINDA and Farm Source integration, make sure your MINDA records are up to date. This helps ensure your FEP contains the most accurate animal information..
