As part of the Co-operate Difference and Fonterra's Terms of Supply, Fonterra farmers are required to submit their Farm Dairy Records (FDR) at the end of each season. The FDR captures information on stock numbers, animal welfare and wellbeing, fertiliser, supplementary feeds, and more. Once submitted, Fonterra provides a Farm Insights Report.
How does the integration work?
Once enabled, the integration streamlines the process of completing the FDR by sending animal information from MINDA to populate certain sections of the FDR. Animal information sent to Farm Source includes:
Herd breakdown (stock classes i.e. R1's, R2's, MA cows, Breeding bulls etc)
Stock inventory (movements i.e. births, deaths etc)
NAIT location of animals
Calf management numbers
Breed information (predominant breed)
Average BW
Mastitis & Lameness cases
Is there anything I need to do in MINDA?
Before setting up the MINDA and Farm Source integration, check that your MINDA records are up to date. This ensures that your FDR will have the most accurate animal information.

Important: To ensure MINDA information flows into the FDR, turn on the Share herd data with Fonterra setting in Farm Source. For help on how to do this, check out Fonterra's how to video.
How long will it take for my MINDA information show in the FDR?
The FDR will update every 24 hours with your MINDA information (or any updates made). To ensure data flows through correctly, make sure you:
Approve events in the Holding Pen
Resolve any outstanding queries
Sync the MINDA app
Check animals have EIDs
Note: If your MINDA information isn't appearing correctly in your FDR, contact the Fonterra Service Centre on 0800 65 65 68.
Can I edit MINDA information in the FDR?
No - information shared from MINDA is one way. If you need to make changes to your MINDA records, update the details in MINDA. The updated information will appear in the FDR within 24 hours.
Note: This is a one-way integration. Changes to MINDA related numbers in the FDR do not flow back to MINDA.
