Animal Status Declaration

Learn how to connect MINDA with OSPRI and streamline Animal Status Declarations.

Written by Neissa

When sending animals to meat processors or moving them between properties, the Person in Charge of Animals (PICA) must complete an Animal Status Declaration (ASD). The ASD captures important information about the animals being moved, such as TB status, treatments received during their lifetime, withholding periods and much more.

How does the integration work?

If you’ve opted in for LIC to be your NAIT Information Provider, you can connect MINDA and OSPRI to create and send ASDs directly from MINDA. This means ASDs are sent straight to MyOSPRI, so you can complete all your animal movement requirements (Removal event and ASD) in one place.

Is there anything I need to do in MyOSPRI?

Before setting up the MINDA and OSPRI integration, check that your MyOSPRI account is set up correctly and that you have access to a location. If your account is not set up correctly, ASDs will not be sent to MyOSPRI.

For help with MyOSPRI, see the links below.

Note: If you need help creating your MyOSPRI account, contact the OSPRI Support Centre on 0800 482 463.

How do I connect MINDA and OSPRI?

Where do I create and view ASDs in MINDA?

In MINDA, you can create and manage ASDs from the Manage ASD page. To access this page, go to Event Recorder, then select Manage ASD. From this page you can:

  • Create new ASDs

  • Manage draft ASDs

  • View, edit and download submitted ASDs

  • Search for ASDs

  • Filter by date, location or status

  • View archived ASDs
