When you connect MINDA & MyOSPRI, you can create, edit & submit Animal Status Declarations (ASDs) all from within MINDA. The ASD form in MINDA is exactly the same as the one in MyOSPRI making it easy and simple to use. There are 2 ASDs you can create in MINDA:

  • Farm to farm

  • Farm to meat processor

Prior to creating ASDs in MINDA, you'll need to check that your MyOSPRI account has been set up with the right Farming location. Why? this ensures ASD's can be created for that location correctly. If you're unsure or need help setting up your Farm Location, check out OSPRI's guide on How to set up your Farming Location in MyOSPRI.

How do I create a farm to farm ASD?

Step 1. Head into Manage ASD

Select Event Recorder from the Dashboard and then select Manage ASD.

Step 2. Create a new ASD form

Click Create ASD and begin filling out the ASD form.

Step 3. Complete the ASD form

There are 3 sections you will need to complete when creating a farm to farm ASD in MINDA. They are:

  • Movement details

    • Sender details

    • Where the animals are being sent to & from

    • Movement dates & times

    • Transporter details

  • Animal details

    • Tallies

    • Withholding periods

    • Animal & animal health history

    • TB declaration

  • Review & declare

    • Review what you've entered

    • Complete the declaration

Step 4. Submit the ASD to MyOSPRI

Once you've completed and reviewed your ASD, you can submit it to MyOSPRI. The ASD will show a Completed status however, you still have 7 days to edit and re-submit. After 7 days, the status will change to Closed and you will no longer be able to edit.

Things to note when completing an ASD form in MINDA

Required questions

As you fill out the ASD form, you'll notice that some questions will have a * beside them. This means the questions are required in order to submit the ASD. If you try to continue without filling out the required questions, you'll see a red square around the questions you need to complete.

Supplementary questions (farm to meat processor ASD)

When creating a farm to meat processor ASD, you may be asked some additional supplementary questions (depending on your meat processor requirements). This may include questions relating to your supply number, your local rep, farm assurance programmes etc.

Meat processors using MyOSPRI

Farm to meat processor ASDs can only be created for meat processors using MyOSPRI. To see a list of meat processors accepting ASDs in MyOSPRI, check out OSPRI's help guide. If your meat processor is not listed, as per OSPRI's article, you will need to complete a paper ASD form.

Location

To create and submit ASDs, you'll need to ensure your farming locations are set up correctly in MyOSPRI or you have been provided access to a location. For more help with setting up locations, check out OSPRI's help guides.
