When creating ASDs in MINDA, you have the option to save it as a draft if you're not quite ready to submit it. This allows you to create draft ASDs in advance if you know you're sending animals off farm and submit to MyOSPRI closer to the movement date.
What is a draft ASD?
A draft ASD is exactly how it sounds - a draft which has not yet been submitted to MyOSPRI. This means that you can create an ASD, add in the information you know and submit it at a later date or save if you don't have all the details just yet. A draft ASD will only show in MINDA (not MyOSPRI) and when you're ready, you can edit and submit or archive if it's no longer needed.
How do I save a draft ASD?
Start off by creating a new ASD. Once the ASD form loads, you should see 2 options on the bottom right of your screen. Here you can save the ASD as a draft.
Before you save a draft, you'll need to make sure you have at least the from location (where the animals are being sent from) selected otherwise the draft won't save.
How do I edit a draft ASD?
From the Manage ASD page, click on the 3 dots then select Edit. This will open the draft ASD and you can continue working through it.
If you're ready to submit, carry on to the Review & declare section and submit as you normally would.
How do I delete a draft ASD?
Draft ASDs can be archived if you no longer need them. To archive an ASD, Click on the 3 dots then select Delete.
This will move the draft ASD to the archived area which you can view at any time by clicking View Archived ASDs. From here, you'll see a detailed activity log of any deleted draft ASDs as well as submitted ASDs.
