What is MINDA Health?

MINDA Health is where you view and manage Health Records and your Treatment Register. Health Records shows any open Treatment Plans and from here, you're able to view details of Health Plans, give the next dose (if the Health Plan has multiple doses) and complete the Health Plan. The Treatment Register shows you a history of any treatments or conditions recorded for your animals (including historic animals) which you can print or export.

Why use MINDA Health?

A clearer picture of animals in withholding

When it comes to Health Events in MINDA, best practice is to record and approve them as they happen on farm. Why? MINDA calculates meat and milk withholding based on the what you entered when recording a Health Event. This means you can easily see which animals are in milk or meat withholding and make decisions around Return to Vat (RTV) or when to send culls.

Important: Make sure you're recording all your doses as they happen so withholding dates are correct.

Know when doses are due

If you have Health Records that have multiple doses, MINDA will use the information entered to calculate when the next dose is due. If you use the MINDA App and have the doses due notifications switched on, you'll receive a notification reminding you when doses are due for an animal.

Everything you need for your Farm Dairy Inspection

With animal health becoming a core focus of Farm Dairy Inspections, its important to have a detailed record of your animal health treatments for the season. When recording Health Events in MINDA, any doses given to animals will build out the Treatment Register which shows the animal ID, condition, treatment received and details of the Health Record. This can then be exported or printed to show at your Farm Dairy Inspection.

Easily prepare for animal health consults

When working with your vets, having a record of animal health conditions and treatments given makes it easier to see how you can improve overall animal health on your farm. The Treatment Register also provides enough detail when having your annual RVM (Restricted Veterinary Medicines) consult so your vets can review what treatments you use on farm and what to prescribe for the upcoming season.
