Using MINDA, you can record and report on health treatments for your animals. When viewing and managing Treatment Plans, the Health Records page will show you a list of open Treatment Plans as well as any animals that are in withholding. You can also view treatment details, edit or complete plans and give doses.

Note: The RTV date will be highlighted blue if all doses have been given OR the RTV date has passed.

What are Treatment Plans?

Open Treatment Plans are Health Records that still have doses due or haven't been completed in MINDA. They are created when you add a Health Event in MINDA and you can view them using the Health Records page. You can see details for each Treatment Plan including:

  • Diagnosis

  • Quarters affected

  • Date separated

  • Return to vat

  • Withholding

  • Treatment including number of planned and given doses

Note: If the Health Event hasn't been approved in the Holding Pen, you can edit the Treatment Plan when viewing it in the Health Records page.

Sorting

By default, Treatment Plans are sorted using their Return to Vat date. To change the order, click on any of the headings i.e. Animal ID to sort by Treatment Plans by their ID.

Updating Treatment Plans

Open Treatment Plans can be edited, updated and completed from within the Health Records page. Using the Options button, you can:

  • Give next dose

  • Details

  • Complete

Give next dose

If your animal has a dose due, record this in MINDA using the Give next dose button. You'll need to have the date and time handy of when you gave the animal its next dose.

Note: The Next Dose date will show in red (on the Health Records page) if doses are overdue.

Details

Using the Details option, see an overview of the animals diagnosis, Treatment Plan and any doses given or due. From here you can update and edit any planned doses i.e. add, remove or give doses.

Complete

Once your animals Treatment Plan has been completed, you'll need to mark it as complete in MINDA. There's 2 ways you can do this:

  1. Using Complete (under Options)

  2. Using the tick box to complete multiple Treatment Plans

The complete button marks each Treatment Plan as complete but if you have multiple that need to be completed i.e. Treatment Plans with 1 dose, use select all (or tick the ones that need to be completed) and click the blue button on the left.
