As a part of the Co-operate Difference and Fonterra's Terms of Supply, Fonterra farmers are required to submit their Farm Dairy Records (FDR) at the end of each season. The FDR captures information relating to stock numbers, animal welfare and wellbeing, fertiliser, supplementary feeds etc. Once the FDR has been submitted, Fonterra will provide an analysis of the farm in the form of a Farm Insights Report.
How does the integration work?
Once enabled, the integration will streamline the process of completing the FDR by sending animal information from MINDA to populate certain sections of the FDR. The animal information we send to Farm Source will include:
Herd breakdown (stock classes i.e. R1's, R2's, MA cows, Breeding bulls etc)
Stock inventory (movements i.e. births, deaths etc)
NAIT location of animals
Calf management
Breed information
Average BW
Is there anything I need to do in MINDA?
Before setting up the MINDA & Farm Source integration, we recommend checking that your MINDA records are up to date. This ensures that your FDR will have the most up to date and accurate animal information.
