What is MINDA Milk?

These results are then further broken down to look at SCC trends, SCC vs Production Worth, Milksolids summary and unusual trends or production patterns. MINDA Milk is split into the following areas:

  • Overview

  • SCC

  • Best and Worst

  • Production

  • Animal Detail

Note: When granting your farming team access to MINDA Milk, you'll need to ensure they are given View Herd Details permissions.

Overview

Using the Overview tab, see a breakdown of production & lactation averages for each age group, compare whole herd averages across seasons and see how your herds production compares to your regions average. You can also switch between your herd tests by changing the herd test date on the top left.

SCC

The SCC tab provides a breakdown of average SCC for the whole herd, R2 animals as well as likely infection rate and SCC ranges for both the whole herd and R2 animals. Using this information, you can compare SCC from the previous seasons herd tests and see how your herd is tracking.

Best and Worst

The Best and Worst tab provides a comparison of each animals SCC vs their PW as well as a performance profile for your 2 year olds heifers (using Fonterra's forecast payout figures). Using the Production vs infection graph, drill down into individual animals to see if they need treating.

Production

Focusing on production, compare your herds PW by age too see how they compare with whole herd averages, see a detailed breakdown of milksolids and check if there were any unusual production patterns or trends at the time of testing.

Animal details

View test results for individual animals in your most recent herd test. Using the table, filter by animal number, breed, results etc. You can also narrow down which animals are shown i.e. certain breed, age, only current animals etc.
