Using MINDA, you can accept animals that have been sold to you. When selling animals, the seller will have the option to enter in the buyers details when creating a Remove Animals Event in MINDA. This notifies the buyer and they can then accept the animals into their herd using the Incoming Animals Event.
When accepting Incoming Animals in MINDA, you'll need to know:
Animal ID
Purchase date
Seller & buyers NAIT location
Destination NAIT location
New tag number (if applicable)
Step 1. Select animals
Select which animals you're accepting (or rejecting) using the tick box then click either Accept or Reject.
Step 2. Select the purchase date
Select the date the animals were purchased.
Important: The purchase date cannot be the same as or before the sale date.
Step 3. Enter from NAIT location
Review the NAIT location the animals were sent from. The From NAIT location will display what the sender recorded when they first created the Removal Event. If this isn't right or needs changing, you can add a new NAIT location.
Step 4. Enter destination NAIT location
Review the NAIT location the animals are being moved to. The To NAIT location will display the herds default NAIT location. If this isn't right or needs changing, you can add a new NAIT location.
Step 5. Match animals with tag numbers
If the animals you've purchased also need to be tagged, you can match them with available tag numbers. Click on the animal receiving the new tag then select the new tag number she was given.
When the tag has been matched with the animal, you'll see the new tag as shown above. If you've matched the wrong tag number, click Untag to remove it.
Note: If an available tag number isn't showing, try updating the tag range.
Step 6. Review and finish
Review the details you've entered. If you need to edit anything, click Back otherwise click Finish.
Note: If you've opted in for LIC to be your NAIT information provider, you'll see a message letting you know that NAIT will be updated
The Event should now show in the Holding Pen where you can approve it.
