Using MINDA, you can remove previously registered NAIT Only animals. When removing these animals in MINDA, you'll need to know:

  • Date the animal(s) were removed

  • Animal ID

  • Removal reason

  • NAIT Location

How do I record a (NAIT Only) Remove Animals Event?

Select Event Recorder from the dashboard and then select Remove Animals from the list of available Events under the NAIT Only section. Next go through the steps on screen.

Step 1. Confirm you're recording a NAIT Only Event

When recording a Remove Animals Event, you'll be asked to confirm the below. This just means you acknowledge you're removing animals that are not on your MINDA herd.

Note: If you don't want to see this message every time you record NAIT Only Events, select the checkbox Don't show this message again.

Step 2. Choose the removal date

Select the date the animal(s) were removed.

Step 3. Choose your animal(s)

Select the animals you're removing. If you have a long list of EID's, you can scroll through or use the search bar.

Step 4. Select a removal reason

Choose the reason you're removing animals i.e. were they culled, sold or did they die.

Step 5. NAIT Location

Select the NAIT locations the animal(s) are moving between.

Note: If the from/to NAIT isn't in this list, you can add it from this screen. Just add the NAIT number and Name then use the Add button. If you'd like to save the NAIT location for future use, make sure the Save to my NAIT locations option is ticked.

Step 6. Confirm details

Review the details you've entered. If you need to edit anything, click on the links or use the Previous button otherwise click Finish.

The Event should now show in the Holding Pen where you can approve it.

Important: You need to approve the Event in the Holding Pen first in order for NAIT to update.
