Using MINDA, you can record heats for your animals. When recording heats in MINDA, you'll need to know:

  • Date the animal was on heat

  • Animal ID

How do I record a Heat Event?

Select Event Recorder from the dashboard and then select Heat from the list of available Events. Next go through the steps on screen.

Step 1. Select date

Select the date the heat was observed. If the date was earlier, click Earlier then use the calendar to select the right date.

Step 2. Choose your animal(s)

Select the animals that are on heat. If the animals are in a specific Group, you can change the Group to show only those animals otherwise, you can search for the animal if you know their ID.

Once you've selected the animals, they'll be moved to the right hand side as shown above. If you need to remove any animals, use the x.

Note: When recording heats, you'll need to select animals individually. However, if you have multiple animals that were on heat on the same day, you can select them all and record a heat for them.

Step 3. Review and finish

Review the details you've entered. If you need to edit anything, click Change or use the Back button otherwise click Finish.

The Event should now show in the Holding Pen where you can approve it.
