Using MINDA, you can record Body Condition Scores (BCS) for your animals. When recording Body Condition Scores in MINDA, you'll need to know:
Date the animal(s) were condition scored
Animal ID
Condition Score
How do I record an Body Condition Score Event?
Select Event Recorder from the dashboard and then select Body Condition Score from the list of available Events. Next go through the steps on screen.
Step 1. Select date
Select the date the animal was condition scored. If the date was earlier, click Earlier then use the calendar to select the right date.
Step 2. Choose your animal(s)
Select the animals you're recording Body Condition Scores for. If the animals are in a specific Group, you can change the Group to show only those animals otherwise, you can search for the animal if you know their ID.
Once you've selected the animals, they'll be moved to the right hand side as shown above. If you need to remove any animals, use the x.
Note: When recording BCS, you'll need to select and score animals individually. However, if you have animals with the same condition score, you can select them all and assign them the same score.
Step 3. Select the Body Condition Score
Select the animals BCS.
Step 4. Review and finish
Review the details you've entered. If you need to edit anything, click Change or use the Back button otherwise click Finish.
The Event should now show in the Holding Pen where you can approve it.
