You've created Groups so now what? Groups can be used a few different ways in MINDA to help you manage your animals. How? You can use Groups when:
Adding Events
Running Reports
Drafting
Adding Events
When adding an Event in MINDA, you can either select individual animals or select a Group. Why would you want to do this? Say you're selling some animals and you've already created a Group. Instead of selecting the same animals again, select the Group and then Select All. This adds all the animals for you so you don't need to waste time going through each and every animal.
Reporting
MINDA reports are great when it comes to analysing your herd but if you want to go one step further, you can report specifically on Groups and add extra Attributes. A lot of reports (including Custom Reports) allow you to select a Group which is handy if you're wanting to share animal information with i.e. a stock agent.
Drafting
If you have a Protrack drafting system, you can schedule drafts using Groups. There are 2 areas within MINDA that you can schedule a draft including:
Within the Groups page via Actions
Protrack tile > Drafting > Schedule a Draft.
