The MINDA app is compatible with a number of wands meaning that when you connect a wand with your phone, you can also connect and use it with the MINDA app. This allows you to complete Herd Audit's, Lookup animals, record Events etc.


How do I connect a wand to the MINDA app?

Step 1. Connect the wand with your device

Following the steps provided by your wand manufacturer, connect your wand with your device. Your device should have Bluetooth settings where you can view and manage this connection.

Step 2. Check the wand is connected to the app

Once the wand has been successfully connected to your device, head into the MINDA app. If the app has recognised the wand, you'll see a green banner at the top of the screen as well as the Settings area show the wand as connected.


What if the MINDA app is not showing the wand as connected?

If you've paired your wand with your device and it's not connecting to the MINDA app, tap the menu on the top left and then select Wand settings. This will show wands you've connected in the past and give you the option to connect to other wands. Tap Connect other wand to head into your Bluetooth settings and confirm that your wand is connected.


How do I connect a Gallagher HR5 v2 or HR4 v2 wand?

These specific wands connect differently depending on your device type. If you have an android device, you would connect normally via Bluetooth. If you have an apple device, you will need to connect via Wi-Fi.

Step 1. Connect the wand with your apple device

Following the steps provided by your wand manufacturer, connect your wand with your device. Your device should have Wi-Fi settings where you can view and manage this connection.

Step 2. Check the wand is connected to the app

Once the wand has been successfully connected to your device, head into the MINDA app. If the app has recognised the wand, you'll see a green banner at the top of the screen as well as the Settings area show the wand as connected.
