The Mobs tab is used to create and manage animal mobs in Land & Feed. Mobs are used when recording Grazing and Feed out activities, helping you keep track where animals are grazing across the farm and receiving supplementary feed.
Mobs
The Mobs section displays the mobs that have been created in Land & Feed. For each mob, you can view:
Mob name
Number of animals
Notes
Adding a new Mob
To create a new mob, select Add new mob and enter:
Mob name
Animal count
Any notes you want to record
Examples of mobs you might create include milkers, heifers, calves or dry cows.
Managing Mobs
As mob numbers and groups change throughout the season, you can update mob details at any time by selecting Change next to Name, Count or Notes.
Note: Keeping mob information up to date helps ensure grazing records accurately reflect what's happening on farm.
Using Mobs for Grazing and Feeding Out
Mobs can be used when recording Grazing and Feed out activities in Land & Feed. This records which group of animals grazed a paddock or received supplementary feed. This information is then included in your Land & Feed records, helping you keep track of grazing and feed out activities across your farm.
