In MINDA, you're able to search for individual animals and view their Animal Profile. This includes a detailed summary of the animals Liveweight, Reproduction, Production, Ancestry and any notes recorded about the animal.

Summary

The summary tab provides an overview of the animals:

  • ID (cow number, BID, EID etc)

  • DOB

  • BW, PW &LW

  • Reproductive status, A2 status etc

In some cases, you may see small badges on Animal Profile which indicates the animal has been DNA tested, has an A2 status etc.

Health

The health tab shows a record of all treatments administered to the animal. If you're wanting to see more detail on the condition, dose, withholding etc, click the arrow to expand.

Liveweight

If you record liveweights or Body Condition Scores in MINDA, you can view them all for individual animals using the Liveweight tab.

Reproduction

The Reproduction tab is more detailed and provides a list of previous calvings, matings as well as the animals:

  • Last reproductive status

  • Expected calving

  • Expected sire

  • Last heat & mating

Production

If you Herd Test, the results will show in the Production tab as well past lactations.

Ancestry

The Ancestry tab is similar to a family tree showing the animals Dam, Sire etc. Regardless of the Dam, Sire etc being current or not, they will still show in this tab with either a green or orange label.

Notes

In MINDA, you can record notes on an animal rom within the Notes tab in Animal Profile. Each note can have a category assigned meaning you can filter by the kind of notes you record i.e. health.

There's no limit to the kind of note you add to an animal but they can only be viewed and managed from within the Animal Profile.
